Swiss Alps Winter VII

Posted by
Stefan (Amlikon-Bissegg, Switzerland) on 2 March 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Early morning at 06:30 AM the sun came up behind the mountain and iluminated the area "Saemtisersee" near Appenzell. It was frozen cold at minus 18 degree Celcius and I was completely lonely at this time. I walked through the darkness for about one hour really deep up to this wonderfull place, where I'm alot during spring, summer and fall. But I never was at the winter time up to this place.

The shafts of sunlight came downward. The contrast started to intensify. Just great. But at this time, the long wait for the perfect light, my finger started to freeze and hurt. I couldn't wait any longer and needed to walk to get warm again. But the pictures I allready took was good enough for me.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my photoblog and I love to read your comments.
